Knit/Crochet or Learn to Knit/Crochet

Help bring comfort to children battling cancer by knitting or crocheting small blankets! You can join us at the Palmetto Optimist Monthly Crochet Night on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM at Harmony Church, where we gather to create blankets together. No experience? No problem! We’re happy to teach anyone who wants to learn. If you can’t attend but still want to help, you can donate your handmade blankets to support this cause. All blankets go to Children’s Cancer Partners of the Carolinas to provide warmth and love to young fighters. Join us or donate to make a difference!

Donate Yarn

Support children battling cancer by donating yarn! The Palmetto Optimist Monthly Crochet Night uses donated yarn to create handmade blankets for Children’s Cancer Partners of the Carolinas. Your yarn donations help volunteers craft comforting blankets for kids facing cancer. All types of soft, washable yarn are welcome! You can drop off donations at our monthly gathering on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM at Harmony Church or contact us to arrange a pickup. Every skein of yarn brings warmth and love to a child in need—thank you for your generosity!
